Civic Days 2009 will consist of the following events:

WPKZ WILL INTERVIEW PARTICIPANTS AND ORGANIZERS OF THE EVENTS THROUGHOUT CIVIC DAYS WEEK.

 

  • Friday, June 26th, 12:00 noon:  Crowning of the Senior King and Queen, Fitchburg Senior Center. Featuring: luncheon, live music and the presentation of the Outstanding Young Americans Award.
  • Sunday, June 28th, 11a.m.-2 p.m.:  Doll Carriage and Bicycle Parade with Youth Events,  Riverfront Park Boulder Drive
  • Sunday, June 28th, 1:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m.: Civic Days Softball Tournament, Coolidge Park Charlton Softball Field.
                                                                          
  • Friday, July 3rd, 5 p.m.- 11 p.m.:  Downtown Block Party. Click Here for: Flyer , Schedule
    Main Street. Featuring: live entertainment, classic cars, International Food Court, vendors, kid's events and family fun. Fireworks during Block Party at dusk (approx. 9:00 P.M.)
  • Friday, July 3rd, 4 p.m.: Cow Chip Poker. Amiot Field. Brochure.  Applications available in Mayor's Office.

  •  Saturday, July 4th, 10 a.m.:  50th annual 4th of July Parade Kicking off at 10 a.m. from Bernardian Bowl on Summer Street.  Bands, Floats and more.  Parade Route: Summer Street onto Main Street and up to the Upper Common.
